The American Mime Theatre invites NYC teens to unlock their creative potential through its summer American Mime and Physical Theatre Performance-Oriented Workshop. Designed for emerging young artists, this immersive program offers hands-on training led by professional teaching artists from the Arts in the Schools (AITS) network—recognized experts in fine arts education.

Participants will explore the powerful art of physical theater while developing essential skills in acting, movement, and expressive performance. With a focus on creativity and confidence-building, the workshop provides a supportive and encouraging environment where teens can grow as performers and individuals. Guided by performance masters, students will engage in inspiring training and gain opportunities to showcase their talents in live performance settings.

Film Camp

0

Film Camp is a hands-on, creative filmmaking experience where kids become directors, screenwriters, actors, and editors all in one! Whether they dream of being behind the camera or in front of it, students get to explore the entire process of movie-making in a fun, supportive environment.

Over the course of the program, students work together to develop an original story, learn how to use real film equipment, act in scenes, and edit their very own short film. No experience needed – just imagination and curiosity!

By the end of Film Camp, each student walks away with a finished film, new skills, and the confidence that comes from bringing their ideas to life. It’s storytelling, teamwork, and movie magic – all rolled into one unforgettable experience.

SF City Kid Camp

Growing up in a 21st-century city means spending a lot of time on screens and within four walls. School, home, and practices all lead to a rigid, structured lifestyle. At City Kids, the aim is to bring back the endless summer days of outdoor exploring, endless play, and the feeling of unbound freedom.

The next generation of responsible, respectful, and environmentally aware children learn most by being out and interacting with the amazing world they live in. Safe peer-to-peer social time, active play, trees, dirt and the freedom to explore their world are all the ingredients to confident, empowered,  and happy youth.

At City Kid Camp the goal is to bring the knowledge and training of youth development and combine it with games, sports, the history of our awesome city, appreciation of the natural environment and let kids do what they do best – play – while safely guiding them through new locations, social situations,  activities.
