Since 2017, The Painting School has been dedicated to providing art opportunities to fun people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds who are serious about making great art.

The Painting School is located in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn in a sunny, two-story studio where getting messy is encouraged and community is built. The school uses art history and contemporary art to teach students of all ages what makes a great work of art. Kids and adults have a great time growing their skill set, making new friends, building creative confidence, and making art.

The classes are defined by the interests of the students, and students have the option to work in many mediums, including:

• Painting
• Drawing
• Illustration
• Clay sculpture
• Readymade sculpture
• Collage
• Stop motion.

In classes, teachers and students play music, have fun, share ideas and compliments, and work hard to make great work. Teachers are supportive, fun, and inclusive.

Steffi Nossen School of Dance & Center for Movement is the oldest dance school in Westchester County, established by dance pioneer Steffi Nossen in 1937. The Second City is a world renown comedy theater and training center.  Founded in Chicago, IL in 1959, The Second City is known for sketch comedy and improv.  The new location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn features Youth and Teen programming for ages 7-18.  Classes range from improvisation to sketch comedy and to art activities. Through improv, children and young adults can gain confidence, learn ensemble play, and focus their creative energy into theater.
