Our optional six-week summer instructional program, Camp Green Tree, has been designed to meet the needs of our special education population. It begins in early July and ends in mid-August for Aaron School K-5th grade students and new incoming Aaron students. While the focus is on maintaining and augmenting educational and social skills learned during the academic year, the atmosphere and activities of the summer program are more relaxed and “camp-like.” Students participate in swimming lessons, weekly field trips, and special activities focusing on a concrete, curricular theme. Speech and language pathologists provide social skills instruction incorporating drama and role-playing. In addition, Speech, Occupational Therapy and Counseling services are provided during summer at the same level as the school year. Students are placed in cohesive groups for reading and math lessons, which are designed to support and review previously learned academic skills.
For additional information please contact Camp Green Tree's Camp Director, Tiffany Semm, email@example.com or Aaron School at (212) 867 9594 ext. 621. For more information, view our new brochure at http://aaronschool.org/ElementarySchool_Camps.php!
