In the foothills of the White Mountains on the southern Maine side, there is a remarkably modern and beautiful camp founded in 1908 with a legacy of camaraderie, teamwork, tradition, experiential outdoor learning, and personal growth: West End House Camp.

West End House Camp is an ACA Accredited overnight summer camp for boys ages 7-15.  Your son shares a cabin with 9-10 other boys and 3 counselors.  West End House Camp offers 7, 4, 3, and 2 week sessions throughout the summer. The camp focuses its days’ activities on the waterfront, sports, games and challenges. West End House Camp has the perfect combination of rotating campers through the wide variety of activities they have, while still having elective time where the boys can do more of what they like best.

West End House Camp campers become more independent, self-confident, responsible, and social without even realizing it! West End House Camp is known for its continuity and the passion that campers develop for the camp and the lifelong friendships that quickly evolve. While many of the campers have been coming for years (as did some of their fathers and grandfathers), they are a very welcoming and comfortable place that enrolls many dozen newcomers each year. Additionally, the long-time, dedicated staff and counselors are almost all former West End House Camp campers, so they know how to make sure the campers feel supported and nurtured in their first or their fifth year!

West End House Camp is also known for the diversity and quality of their campers! They welcome boys from many different states and countries. West End House Camp are diverse in terms of ethnicity, race, religion, family situations, and socioeconomic status, and they are proud of this! Tenafly Nature Center is a non-profit nature preserve located in Bergen County, New Jersey. For over 60+ years, TNC has nurtured an appreciation for nature and has been a leader in open-space preservation and environmental education for the community and beyond. TNC stewards nearly 400 wooded acres of trails, forest, pond, streams and wetlands that serve as an oasis and enable visitors to connect with nature in the country’s most densely populated state.

TNC is located in northern New Jersey, just five miles north of the George Washington Bridge. Trails are open one hour after sunrise until one hour prior to sunset daily Offices and Visitor's Center are open daily 9:30 am – 4:30 pm. As one of the premier environmental education providers in the tristate area, TNC teaches the largest environmental education audience in Bergen County, serving children as young as one through senior adults, building and reinforcing the long-lasting connection to nature from childhood through adulthood. SnowBot Philly East, LLC

Brooklyn Robot Foundry Philly teaches STEAM through Robotics to kids ages 3-12 (and adults too!) in the Greater Philadelphia area. Children learn engineering fundamentals, basic circuitry, design thinking processes, and tons of art. With more than 2,000 robots in the archives, children learn hands-on with motors, gearboxes, battery packs, and other components to create their own robot. Using a signature curriculum for Mini Makers (ages 3-5), Robot Builders (ages 6-8), and Robot Inventors (ages 9-12), children and tweens make new friends, build confidence, practice resilience, and improve academic skills.

Ballet Academy East is home to aspiring dancers of all ages in its Young Dancer, Primary, Adaptive, Pre-Professional, and Adult Divisions. BAE is internationally recognized for exceptional dance training and is the Upper East Side’s ballet school of choice. The caring and accomplished faculty lead classes that nurture students’ physical and emotional well-being, build technical skills, and develop artistry. All ballet classes have live music. 

Petit Dancers, Ages 18 mos. – 2.5 yrs.
Children and their parents/caregivers share the joys of dance and music through song and movement while learning group and individual participation.

Pre-Ballet and Tap, Ages 3-6
Pre-Ballet – Children are introduced to the beginnings of ballet.
Tap – Children focus on rhythm and timing while building physical coordination and musicality.

Adaptive Dance, Ages 5-9
For children with autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, developmental delays, or sensory sensitives who would benefit from an accessible, empowering, sensory-friendly, and fun dance experience.

Primary Division, Ages 6-7, Entering First Grade
A program specifically designed to prepare students for the requirements of Level 1 within BAE’s Pre-Professional Division or the Children & Teen Division. Students develop strength, coordination and flexibility and basic ballet vocabulary. Musicality and joy of dance are emphasized throughout the class. No audition or previous experience required.

Pre-Professional Division, Ages 7-19
Ballet Academy East’s Pre-Professional Division combines comprehensive ballet training with professional-caliber performance opportunities to prepare students for success in the dance world. BAE’s proven syllabus creates technically strong, artistically expressive dancers who adapt easily to the broad range of styles required of today’s professionals. An audition is required.
