Caedmon Discovery Camp

The Caedmon Discovery Camp is a travel-based program for children ages 2.8-12. We are dedicated to the discovery of the many wonders in and around New York City. Groups participate in age-appropriate activities, guided by experienced Caedmon teachers and other talented specialists. All trips take place Mondays through Thursdays, with Fridays reserved for in-house all-camp special events.

When not on trips, campers will have a full complement of fun activities in Caedmon’s four-story building. Highly skilled teachers will guide them in swimming, arts and crafts, cooking, dance and movement, yoga, music, science, tennis, and, of course, sports and games in the gym and outdoor courtyard.

A comprehensive swim program, including instructional and free swim, is part of the fun at Discovery Camp at no extra charge! Campers’ swimming abilities will be assessed on their first trip to the pool, and they will be grouped accordingly.

The fun is guided by an amazing staff of teachers and college students. The Breene Family has run the camp every day since 1963, with traditions that make treasured memories each summer. Riverbend is for boys and girls ages 3-14. Offerings include a half-day option for 3- and 4-year-olds and a day-trip teen travel program for 7th-9th graders. Lunch is included.

Fox Crossing Equestrian Summer Camps and Riding Lessons

Fox Crossing Equestrian is located in Morris, CT, on 25 acres in the heart of Litchfield County. Our popular lesson program includes 12 wonderful school horses. FCE has 35 stalls, both indoor and outdoor riding arenas, as well as a full size dressage arena to ensure riding time in any type of weather, as well as several specialized camps and clinics for riders of all ages.

Each summer, Fox Crossing Equestrian offers 11 weeks of riding camps for all ages and skill levels. These riding camps are extremely popular and close out very quickly! They are designed to be a great first introduction to the world of ponies and horses. Beginner riders will learn in a safe and encouraging environment. Even the most advanced rider will be challenged and learn something new! We have something available to suit all levels of riders.

Specialty camps are also offered throughout the summer. Always popular is our IEA Boot Camp, available to Middle and High School age students. Drill Team, Dressage Camp, Jumping and gymnastics and Horse camps are just a few of the many wonderful weeks available!

Katie Sutton-Eagleston, the Camp Director at FCE, has been part of our team since day one. Katie grew up riding and has a love of both horses and children. Katie, along with all other FCE Instructors and counselors, are dedicated and look forward to sharing their love of horses with campers of all ages and experience levels.

Campers always receive a 1- hour group lesson per day. They’ll learn to groom, tack, and care for their horses as well as basic management skills and general horse knowledge. A fun filled atmosphere will allow students to have a great time with equine related arts, crafts, and games. Riders are places in small groups of four or less to ensure individual attention and a safe environment. Campers don’t need previous equine knowledge. Instruction will be grouped based on riding skills. Campers are responsible to bring their own lunch, water and a snack. Camp operates Monday – Friday, from 9am-1pm. Cost is $375.00 per week. Campers can
Choose from one week to multiple weeks. Early drop off and Extended day available. Summer Leases are available.

Studio LOL

Studio LOL campers spend the week learning basic level improv and sketch comedy. The nurturing teaching staff encourages confidence, teamwork, focus, and creativity. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend. Camps meet for one week and are available throughout the spring and summer. Each week ends in a fun comedy performance for family and friends.

Science Adventures Camp

Science Adventures Camp is a fun, safe and exciting way for kids entering kindergarten through third grade to learn marine science. Campers will have exclusive use of the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium’s marine education center located just steps from the Pacific shore. Lessons, labs and games – with plenty of interaction with live animals – will focus on local species and how they connect to the global ocean. This camp is designed for children independent of their parents; each day is filled with a different marine-themed topic explored through games, crafts and laboratory experiences - in a setting that allows for interaction with more than 100 species of sea life. Is your budding scientist wowed by whales? We have a day devoted to the largest animals on the planet; kids can gnaw through the misconceptions about sharks on "Toothy Tuesday;" the North and South poles are two of the world's most challenging environments and we'll devote a day to learning about the animals that live at the extreme ends of the Earth. Science Adventures Camp is the perfect amount of science for a summers' day.

Saken Sports Camp

Come experience "one of LA's true camp treasures" Campers participate in a variety of sports and games in a positive and safe environment. Saken offers sports specific camps like, basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball and flag football as well as traditional camp with themed days, including “Dodger Dog Day, Hawaiian Luau, Carnival Day, Halloween Day, Water Park Day, Olympics Day, and Superbowl Sunday.” Each week camps focus on a number of sports, helping campers improve their confidence and fundamental skills. Saken Sports Camp welcomes all skill levels for students in pre-k through 6th grade.
