One of our main goals at Mommy Poppins is to inspire people to get out and explore their cities more, try new things, be spontaneous, in fact, to embrace the weekend, or any day, and eek some memory-making experiences out of an ordinary day. That’s why I was happy to participate in the Hilton #BeAWeekender campaign with a short trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley last weekend. It was great reminder of how simple it can be to turn an ordinary couple of days into a memory-making mini-vacation.
To me, San Francisco is the perfect tourist town. With trolley rides, the Fisherman’s Wharf, great food, museums and landmarks, San Francisco is such a fun place to be a tourist. It’s one of my most memorable family vacations as a kid because I was so excited to ride the cable cars, visit the Golden Gate Bridge and all the famous, iconic places. I have so many great memories from that trip and they all came rushing back being in San Francisco as a tourist again.
