Opening Weekend: Family Programs
Saturday March 19 and Sunday March 20

Celebrate the new classics of children’s literature. Families will explore New York through the lens of Mo Willems: just like Knuffle Bunny, children will draw their family into New York street scenes using photographs from the New-York Historical Society’s collection; families will help Pigeon find other vehicles to try and drive, all from the city’s past (will it be a carriage? an omnibus? a hot air balloon?); and at the wire sculpture station, families will create their own versions of Mo’s beloved characters. Storytelling and Elephant & Piggie meet and greets take place all weekend long.
