I have a solution which has been a well kept secret until now; check out one of these local New Haven consignment shops and events for kids. They offer tons of gently used children’s clothing to keep your kids well dressed until the next time your child seems to jump two sizes in a matter of a month.

When it’s 20 degrees out and your kids are “trying on” their summer swim suits you may think they are going crazy or have cabin fever! Well, I’m not an expert, but I’m guessing the latter is the case. Make their day and take them to one of the indoor swimming options we have found in New Haven County. More indoor pools can be found in Hartford and Fairfield Counties. Your kids will thank you!

“Erin go bragh” a phrase expressing allegiance to Ireland, has become synonymous with St. Patty’s Day which many here in America (even if there is no drop of Irish blood in their veins) love to celebrate. Are you wondering what to do with the kids on St. Patrick’s Day in New Haven County? Well, considering its mainly an adult holiday, family-friendly activities are difficult but not impossible to find. I have found a HUGE historic parade and a couple of places to get your fill of corned beef and cabbage! So put on your green garb and take a look! And check out the Hartford County events as well.
