Wild About Nature provides a safe, nurturing environment for children to explore outdoors, grow, and make the most of summer break. Groups are kept small so that children have meaningful interactions with fellow campers and counselors. All staff go through a rigorous week of training and have prior experience working with children.
A typical camp day will be spent exploring the pond, forests, and streams of Camp Denison. Morning sessions will focus on a specific aspect of the week’s theme and will involve hands-on investigations and activities. Afternoons are a little more relaxed; campers can choose from a range of games and activities that might include building a bird feeder, playing Capture the Flag, erecting debris shelters, or fishing. Each day closes with a communal camp fire.
Wild About Nature is currently enrolling for its in-person 2021 summer session!
