Darlington Arts Center's summer arts camps inspire students ages 3-14 to think creatively about the world around them and express themselves through the visual and performing arts. Darlington summer arts camps provide children with eleven weeks of interactive fun and hands-on experiential activities. Each week features a unique theme, providing every child opportunities to find new areas of interest that stimulate learning. Summer at Darlington offers an equal balance of creativity and learning that will provide your child with one of the most enjoyable summer experiences possible.

DAC summer arts camps provide a gateway for children from pre-K through 8th grade to have fun, unwind, make new friends, and gain new skills in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment. Darlington Arts Center encourages curiosity, promotes creativity, applauds collaboration, builds confidence, and fosters respect.

Backspace Westport

Backspace Westport’s two-hour weekly camp offers children 12+ the opportunity to use their imagination while typing out a story, screen play, or song on a vintage typewriter. At the end of each week, parents can come see/hear what their children have created.

Brook Arts Center Summer Theater Camp

Camp Brook is dedicated to giving young students the opportunity to have fun, build confidence, and stretch their imaginations. Three programs are offered for students entering first through sixth grade in the fall. The first week workshop will focus on exploring imagination through theater games, pantomime, role playing, and improvisation. Students will discover their talents through the use of skits and short plays. Campers will learn stage movement, directions, voice, and technique. The second week workshop will focus on rehearsing Camp Brook’s showcase production, which will be presented the evening of July 20.

Classes are July 9-20, 2018 from 9 AM-12 PM, weekdays only. Tuition includes 2 weeks of classes, a camp shirt, and two tickets to our showcase on Friday, July 20th.

The Reading 4 Smiles agency offers an educationally enriched after-school program and a literacy based summer camp. The agency is designed to aid children in obtaining and persevering in their academics, acting as an additional resource of support for academic success. Reading 4 Smiles works with children both individually and in small groups on building and enhancing vocabulary, writing, and reading comprehension skills. The agency serves as an educational and recreational program that inspires students to challenge themselves academically while encouraging college-bound goals.
