Puddlestompers Summer Vacation Programs

0

Puddlestompers is actively working to reexamine its daily schedule and procedures to create a safe environment for all campers in the face of COVID-19. One week of daily virtual camp is now offered from June 8-June 12, 2020. Register today!

At Puddlestompers Summer Camp, your child can enjoy the beautiful summer season with exploration, active movement, games, songs, crafts, and plenty of fun. Puddlestompers runs in four different locations throughout the Greater Boston area, providing something for everyone. From 9am until 1pm, your young explorer will peer under rocks, splash through creeks, catch grasshoppers, and immerse themselves in the wonder of nature. Qualified Teacher Naturalists are there every step of the way to facilitate discovery and exploration with a small child-adult ratio. With two different age groups of 3-6 and 7-9 at most locations, there's something for everyone. Puddlestompers offers early drop-off and extended day at all of the Newton locations.

Arts Camp at the West Side YMCA

0

Campers ages 5.5-12 are invited to explore creative expression in a safe and supportive environment at the West Side YMCA on the UWS. Campers are grouped by age and take dance, drama, vocal music, and visual arts classes with seasoned teaching artists, who develop curriculum for each session’s theme, culminating in a showcase performance in the theater.

Campers participate in 20 hours of arts instruction per session, learning foundational skills and developing original content. Activities include vocal instruction, dance and drama classes, and theme-based art projects in ceramics, beading, and painting. Campers go on weekly arts-related field trips to shows and museums around NYC and rehearse for their performance for families and friends. Campers also swim twice a week in the indoor pool and utilize Central Park for lunch, yoga, and fresh air.

For more information, please contact Community Arts Coordinator Meghan Murphy (212-912-2600, ext. 2634 or meghanm@ymcanyc.org).

Epiic Solutions leads one-week summer programs (July-August) exploring entrepreneurship, innovation, and design for aspiring teen entrepreneurs. Teens in grades 7-12 work in small teams to develop their own innovative solutions and travel across Boston to meet with the coolest entrepreneurs and startups. Programs are perfect for Greater Boston middle and high schoolers that want to learn the entrepreneurial and design-driven mindsets; build creative problem solving, critical thinking, communications, and leadership skills; explore different college and career pathways; and have lots of fun. Epiic Solutions programs culminate in a pitch competition with a panel of local investors/judges, family, and friends. Each week has a unique theme that drives the projects and field trips.
