School of Rock Roslyn’s music camps and workshops are designed to bring out the best performance in a fast-paced learning environment. Just like their standard programs, their camps offer a high-energy experience that is fun, creative, and team-oriented. Students learn music by playing it with their peers, guided by experienced instructors from the music community.

From basic Performance Boot Camps to more advanced  classes like Songwriting Training, School of Rock offers opportunities for musicians of all skill levels. Please contact them for a current list of camps and workshops at School of Rock Roslyn.

Regardless of which camp they choose, students can expect:

  • Hands-on skill building for guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drums, and/or vocals

John W. Engeman Theater

John W. Engeman Theater's Musical Theater Summer Camp gives every child a chance to learn essential performing skills while spending a fun summer with their peers.

Campers will be immersed in the world of musical theater and given the opportunity to be taught and directed by theater professionals. At the end of each session, they will perform a musical theater production on the professional stage complete with lights, sound, and costumes.

Session I: Disney's the Jungle Book Kids (June 25-July 6, 2018)
Session II: Newsies (July 9-August 3, 2018)
Session III: You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (August 6-August 24, 2018)

Ridgefield Academy

Ridgefield Academy believes that summer is a time for children to explore, discover, and engage in activities that bring them joy. RA offers six weeks of enriching summer programs that are open to the public.

Camp Landmark is for the littlest kids ages 2 to 4. They will enjoy daily outdoor play, circle time, and singing songs, with four different themes to choose from.

Patriot Camp is offered to children entering kindergarten through grade 5. A series of themed weeks includes Terrific Trip Week, Science Week, and Survivor Camp. Also available is the nationally recognized Camp Invention—a STEM summer program.

For middle school students entering grades 5-8, the Explorer Programs offer a broad variety of half- and full-day programs with options in sports, science, technology, visual and performing arts, cooking, and engineering, among others.

Solar Filmmaking Summer Camp for Teens

Enjoy an exciting session of interactive filmmaking in a fun-filled, textbook-free environment. This unique summer camp challenges your child to work creatively as an individual as well as part of a team and bring home a finished film of their own.

In one or two amazing, action-packed weeks, campers ages 13-18 will learn to handle professional equipment including lights, video cameras, and computer editing software and go through all stages of film production:
