Curious Jane runs weekly, project-based programs that are all about colorful, creative DIY. With themes like Fab Lab, Spa Science, Toy Design, Craft Party, Room Makeover, and more, designed for girls entering grades K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-6th.

Nassau County Summer Recreation Camp

This full-day camp runs Monday through Friday for approximately six weeks. In addition to 45 minutes of swim time in the park's pool complex, each day children will participate in arts and crafts, board games and multiple sports.This affordable camp fills up quick, so register early. Registration can be done online. Camp is located at Wantagh Park or Cantiague Park.

The Center for Science Teaching & Learning

The Center for Science offers exhibit or science birthday parties, such as slime, fossils, hiking, dinosaurs, an animal meet and greet and more.  Affordable one or two-week camp sessions are available for little scientists ages 5-12. Your lab coat-sporting little one will love engineering projects such as building boats, constructing cookers, and making roller coasters. The program also includes chemistry, physics, and botany explorations, as well as wading in streams to learn about living systems. Longer two-weeks sessions are also available.

CSTL offers School's Out camps during holiday breaks as well. These full-day programs during school vacations get kids involved in hands-on science experiments and explorations. Children have the opportunity to explore 17 acres of nature, visit our live animals, conduct experiments, and take part in science shows and demonstrations conducted by our staff of professional science teachers.

For birthday parties, the Center for Science has two, 90-minute sesssions to choose from on weekends. Guests will get to engage in the exhibit Dinosaurs! and Animal Adventure, see robotic and skeletal dinosaurs and over 40 animals with hands-on activities and a dino dig. The birthday party gets their own private building with a large space for the kids and adults.

Nassau County Police Activity League Camp

NCPAL offers day camps at affordable prices. Day camps are full-day, 5 days a week. Activities include judo, art, music, STEM, dance, and more. Campers can sign up for 3-, 4-, or 5-week sessions. There is a sibling discount. 

SCOPE Summer Enrichment and Camps

Each summer, SCOPE offers camps and enrichment classes in STEM, dance, art, theater, cooking, and more in 3-hour sessions. Themes change each summer. Current and past themes include space, animal art, and the Olympics.

Scope is very affordable and allows parents to sign-up for sessions by the week. Some districts allow out-of-district residents to attend, while others only allow children attending their district to sign up.
