Halloween is the name of the game in October, which means New Jersey is alive with pumpkin patches, haunted houses, fall festivals, and, of course, trick-or-treating—there are plenty of opportunities to wear Halloween costumes!

This month is jam-packed with fun fall activities and awesome things to do in New Jersey. Find creepy and kooky Halloween excitement all month long at Westfield's Addamsfest, as well as Halloween fun with furry friends at Cape May's Boo at the Zoo.  

Local seasonal celebrations include food, fun, and pumpkins at Thompson Park Day and a downtown full of scarecrows at Cranford's Scarecrow Stroll.

In October, New York City is crawling with pumpkin patches, haunted houses, fall festivals, and, of course, trick-or-treating—so many opportunities to wear Halloween costumes! But Halloween isn't the only game in town.

We're super psyched for all the other glorious shenanigans October has in store, including the 50th annual Atlantic Antic (we'll be there, too!), snooping behind the scenes at Open House NY, and the new Calder's Circus exhibit at the Whitney. Best Things to Do in Hot Springs, Arkansas with Kids: A National Park Family Vacation

Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas is a unique family destination in several ways. It's America's only urban national park, meaning it's accessible from the city's busy downtown and free to visit. And while there are plenty of cool hiking trails, the big draw to Hot Springs is its water. Pools of the steaming geothermal spring water can be seen within the park, and families can stroll along Bathhouse Row where generations of people (including gangster Al Capone) came to soak in for medicinal purposes.
