Go-kart racing is one of the most thrilling and popular activities for kids in Houston. In many venues, parents can enjoy the fun and share the thrill of racing with their kids. Hangar 9 Wakepark is north of Houston up the I-45, near Conroe. Come equipped with your swimsuit, and you can rent the board, helmet, and life jacket. There is a beginner session on a learner cable with an instructor, and certain sessions have a slow ride cable perfect for younger riders and new wakeboarders.

While your kids might be too young to jump out of a plane, they can experience the sensation of flying at an indoor skydiving venue. These attractions simulate skydiving through a massive fan, and thrill-seeking kids will love the feeling of flying under the direction of an instructor in the wind tunnel.

7. IFly

Even kids of 3+ can participate in indoor skydiving at IFly in Memorial or The Woodlands. The sensation of flying is incredible, and the venues are designed to provide a safe family experience. Be prepared that the fans' noise allowing you to soar is pretty loud, but if your kids don't mind the racket, they will have a blast! Usually, you will be in a group with other participants and take turns to have short periods in the wind tunnel, fully guided by an instructor who will signal what you need to do to fly!

Treetop Adventures in Houston for Kids 

If your kids like heights, take them on a trip to a treetop adventure venue. Course areas are often designed for different ages, abilities, and fear levels. The courses are great for teaching balance, jumping, swinging, and taking other risks in a safe environment. 8. Texas Treeventures

This exciting treetop course has three different levels and 72 different obstacles designed to thrill all the family. Participants must be 6+, have a reach of 70", and weigh a minimum of 44 lbs. The adventure course has treehouses to rent and is next to Rob Fleming Recreation Center and across the road from Rob Fleming swimming pool and park, so your treetop adventures don't need to be the end of the fun.
