Camp Quinipet sits on a large, partially wooded peninsula with water views from almost everywhere. There is no swimming pool, but there is a sandy beach and a dock with all sorts of watercraft. Activities include fishing, yoga, sailing, rock band, and arts and crafts. The camp offers a sleepaway program, day camp, and a sailing school. The sleepaway option is ideal for ages 7-17. Quinipet is more rustic than fancy, but it does have comfortable lodgings that include bunk beds, electricity, bathrooms, and air conditioning. The day camp is suiable for ages 5-14. The staff is friendly and professional. Day camp is structured to have the feeling of an overnight experience without a sleepover. While the camp is owned and operated by the United Methodist Church and includes some progressive Christian programming, children of all faiths are welcome. Campers register by the week.

DPF 4-H Camp is a 140 acre co-ed sleep-away camp for campers ages 8-16 Our camp is located on the majestic Long Island Sound in Riverhead. This environment allows for personal growth in which diverse youth and adults reach their fullest potential as capable, competent, and caring citizens.

The Flint Day Camp is the Day Camp portion of the Dorothy P Flint 4-H Camp. Our Day Camp Program is for campers entering 1st grade and up who are not ready for a sleep-away camp or don’t want to stay overnight but also get the shorter day camp experience.

Long Island Aquarium's camp programs adds interactive excitement to school breaks and summer vacation. Long Island Aquarium’s Summer Adventure Days add interactive excitement to summer vacation. Separate programs provide age-appropriate learning and activities for children ages 3 – 16.

Working during the school breaks? Send your kids to the Long Island Aquarium's Fun-cation Camp for the entire week, or just for a day or two. Kids ages 5-11 tour the aquarium, including the Butterflies, Bugs & Bees habitat, feed the stingrays, check out the sea lion show, play games, watch a movie, make a craft, and more.

Operating on Long Island since 1956, Crestwood offers full, mini and junior days for ages 18 months to 16 years. Teen and L.I.T./Apprentice programs go from grades 7-12. The tuition includes door-to-door transportation, lunch, snacks, camp t-shirt, towel service, all activities, equipment, and all trips.

Crestwood's sleepaway camp in the Adirondacks, Camp Southwoods, offers 2-, 3-, 5- or 7-week sessions for ages 7-16.

Camp Life is the Best Life: Summer Exploration Starts at the Y.

At the Y, campers build friendships and engage in physical activity in a safe and healthy environment. As one of the region's largest camps, the Y offers a variety of programs for ages 3-15, including Kiddie Camp, Youth Camp, Pre-Teen Camp, Teen Camp, Sports Camp, and CIT (Counselor-In-Training). Camp operates 2-week sessions that feature endless age-appropriate activities and opportunities to try new things, build confidence, and create lifelong memories.

The trained staff creates a safe, fun, welcoming environment where kids can be themselves to enjoy learning, playing, exploring, and socializing.

Seacoast Science Center

The Seacoast Science Center's mission is hands-on science education with conservation in mind. Exhibits range from dinosaurs, the fish and waterlife of the Seacoast, the local reef and conservation. This museum runs many programs outdoors at local harbors, estuaries and waterways with education in mind. Even the littlest fishies are encouraged to come and play and learn at the Museum every Thursday. Come back to several times because everytime you come, the experience will be a different one!
