Camping in the middle of winter? Head for Wilderness Camp, an indoor experience that brings the great outdoors to BCM. In this interactive exhibit created in partnership with contemporary artist Tattfoo Tan, families will explore interacting with and rely on nature for basic needs and survival. Try on a backpack filled with some of the necessities of wilderness exploration- a compass, canteen, mess kit, magnifying glass, net, blanket, tools, and a map of local trails before you head into the “wilderness” to create a shelter, learn how to transform natural materials, and share some stories around the campfire circle.

Also, keep an eye out for special, weekend-day activities related to this exhibit.
