Did you know that the first Caribbean Carnival originated in Trinidad and Tobago in the late 18th century?  On July 14, Brooklyn Children’s Museum will explore the Caribbean tradition of Carnival by making flags, instruments, and masks. To mark the end of the celebration, bring your creations together for a Carnival Parade throughout the museum.

Throughout the day, you can also try Caribbean cuisine with Glady’s restaurant which will be selling food on the rooftop. Join in and celebrate the cultural, artistic, musical, and culinary traditions that make the Caribbean unique.
