Pusteblume International Preschool - Classes and Activities

Pusteblume offers after-school, weekend, and summer activities that give children ages 3 to 9 the opportunity to learn and socialize in a German or Spanish language immersion setting. Pusteblume organizes activity-based afternoon classes to complement its preschool program. The school also offers children ages 9 to 12 a Saturday German reading and writing program for continuing language enrichment. Classes include an introduction to soccer for 3-5-year-olds, a music class drawing on the holistic music pedagogy of Carl Orff, art classes in Spanish, and an introduction to ballet. All classes are taught by native Spanish or German teachers. Pusteblume is conveniently located in Chelsea on West 14th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue.

Port Washington Skating Center has classes for all skaters whether beginners or more skilled, with programs for hockey players, figure skaters, and anyone who wants to have a little fun on the ice.

Port Washington Skating Center instructors have the experience and patience to help your child succeed. Skaters are given the spark and encouragement to maintain activity and a healthy lifestyle.

The mission and passion at Port Washington is creating memories, friendships, and lasting bonds between those who participate—players, coaches, teammates, and friends on the ice. Many become very good athletes, and, more importantly, all are coached to become good citizens.

Little Learning is an early childhood development program with a focus on literacy. Little Learning's mission is to ensure that every child associates learning with fun and to promote in each child a confidence in themselves as lifelong learners. Throughout the multi-year program, Little Learning tracks every component of a child’s development and maintains an integrated and holistic approach to the care and development of students. The small-group ratio of five or six students to two teachers insures the ability to truly get to know each child as an individual and learner and to help them reach their full potential and highest level of engagement.

Little Learning offers classes for children ages 18 months to 6 years (or upon entering Kindergarten), the LL Summer Voyage June program, and 1:1 for children in grades K-3.
