The Scarsdale Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association to host its Annual Fire Prevention Fair at Station 3 (Crossway). Meet Scarsdale’s career and volunteer firefighters, and there will be live fire demonstrations to illustrate the dangers of unattended cooking and improper fire extinguishment. Antique and modern fire vehicles will be on display and there will be interactive lessons in the fire safety trailer, refreshments, and a firefighter read-along.

This year’s theme is Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You! The American Red Cross will be there to educate residents about free smoke alarm installations, emergency preparedness and hands-only CPR. You can also bring your home fire extinguisher for a free inspection and training.
