Camp Yokey - Summer STEM Camp

Camp Yokey is a STEM summer camp that takes place in a unique location in Brooklyn—a virtual reality arcade with the latest technology and equipment. Camp subjects include coding, Roblox, Fortnite, VR, AR, hardware, art, and lots of fun. With an amazing space, the latest technology, and experienced instructors, your child will learn to build their future in the technology or art fields.

Camp Yokey focuses on the technology and coding aspects of games for virtual reality and augmented reality. Campers will learn how to design 3-D objects, develop movement and interaction of the objects, play-test their creations, and import them into a virtual world. The camp has strong art curriculum, specifically covering the intersection of art and tech. A large roster of courses for summer and vacation camps is available, including Fortnite Game Design with Unity, VR Art Studio, 3-D Animation, Roblox, Drawing, and Hardware.

Mill River Park Day Camp

Mill River Park Day Camp, for kids ages 5-14, is far from traditional. With a focus on environmental education, campers can to choose from almost a dozen unique clubs ranging from sports to fashion and will make lasting memories on weekly field trips. A hot lunch and snack is included.

Summer STEAM at Shady Hill School

Summer STEAM is a multifaceted, child-centered summer program on the Shady Hill School campus. It features hands-on, project-based science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Students are encouraged to be curious about the world around them, question the limits of their knowledge, and identify and solve real-world problems.

Throughout their time on campus, students will:

  • Explore the world around them and think critically about what they see, know, and understand.
  • Connect and collaborate with friends as they work together to problem-solve and have fun.
  • Create new knowledge and show that learning through a variety interactive, innovative ways.

Henry Street Settlement - Camp Henry

Camp Henry gives kids ages 5 to 13 a summer of fun and learning at Henry Street Settlement on the Lower East Side. Campers engage in educational enrichment activities to prevent summer learning loss, including STEAM projects and literacy lessons, plus arts and crafts, music, drama, sports, visits to parks, twice-weekly swimming, and field trips.

​This year’s theme is Legends, Heroes, and Heroines. Each week a different superhero will be highlighted, and campers learn about and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of these fictitious figures. This journey explores not only superpowers and ancient mythology but also community-building, self-efficacy, and positive decision making. Campers enjoy weekly films, field trips, and theme-based parties. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included.

One River School of Art + Design

From street art and realistic drawing to photography and character animation, One River School's weekly camps run from mid June through the end of August, with over 70 innovative camps to choose from. Instructors are professional artists and designers in their field, providing students with a fun and hands-on exploration of diverse media, concepts, and creative tools.  

Teens and kids take their pick of studio and digital art experiences that can be mixed and matched into full- or half-day sessions. Camps can be easily bundled by themes and interests such as Portraits and Figures, Manga, Painting, Comic Obsessions, and Commercial Design. Projects are fun, ambitious, individual, and collaborative and produce original outcomes which are on display at the end of each week.
