This June weekend offers Philly families some unbelievable opportunities right here in the Delaware Valley. Nature lovers, aviation fans, and festival goers are sure to find plenty of excitement in our event calendar.

Animal lovers can learn about turtles, terrapins, and tortoises at the Academy of Natural Science, slithering snakes at Upper Schuylkill Valley Park, and creek critters at Green Lane Park.

If you like being on the water, consider exploring the Perkiomen on a canoe ride. Or, if you prefer being in the water, splash about at a local splash pad or sprinkler park.

On the other hand, perhaps flight is what excites your crew. Visit Fort Mifflin for its annual Airplane Day which features the opportunity to learn about flight basics, hear pilots from the control tower, and watch planes take off and land at the airport.

Speaking of up in the air, don't miss the aerial performers from Transe Express featuring Nobuntu which is part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts. The festival culminates with a big street fair along Broad Street and is not to be missed.  Other festivals happening this weekend include Please Touch Museum's Pride Family Festival, Odunde Festival near Graduate Hospital, and St. Anthony's Italian Festival in Wilmington.
