A selection of 11 classic and contemporary French films, sprinkled throughout the city over the course of the summer, explores the profound relationship between French culture and gastronomy, an integral part of France's social fabric. Bring a blanket and a picnic.

Le Boucher is set in a provincial French town, where a sophisticated schoolmistress Hélène (Stephane Audran) befriends the charmingly passionate local butcher Popaul (Jean Yann), a veteran of Algerian and Indochina wars.Shortly after Popaul’s return to his hometown, two bodies are discovered. As a serial killer spreads terror throughout the countryside, Hélène reluctantly suspects her new friend.

Film in French with English subtitles.
