The County of Los Angeles Fire Museum celebrates its grand opening with a free event. Highlights include celebrity appearances, tons of fire trucks, music, food, exhibitions, and more.
Celebrity guests include Randolph Mantooth, Kevin Tighe, Mike Stoker and Ron Pickard, stars of the 1970's hit show Emergency!
The sparkling new Museum Facility will house the popular 51s and chosen antique apparatus in a space custom designed for Fire History. Visitors can see the displays and learn about the Los Angeles County Fire Service history while getting autographs and visiting our gift shop.
The LACoFD Urban Search and Rescue Teams perform vehicle extrications. Vehicles on view include an LACoFD Quint, Paramedic vehicle, and Lifeguard Vehicle; guests can jump into a Shakey Quakey and “ride” an earthquake.
The Fire Museum has two floors. The lower level will be used as a showroom for fire history and antique apparatus. The upper level is a large banquet room that can hold 300 people with four balconies, a large kitchen and much more. The Fire Museum can be rented by the public for events.
