The Astoria Based Theater Company will be hosting a benefit reading for the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Kids can listen to  classic children's books, watch the juggling or live music, make a snowflake for the Sandy Hook PTA, purchase a raffle or a baked goodie.

The benefit will be a celebration of childhood, with no mention of violence, or the specifics of what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Tickets are $5 and donations of school supplies and children's books will be accepted.

The financial proceeds will go directly to the United Way's fund set up to help offset funeral and counseling costs for the families and peers of the victims of the shooting. The collected items (school supplies and children's books) will go directly to the Sandy Hook Elementary School at their new location.
