Asphalt Green Classes & Fitness


Asphalt Green is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals of all ages and backgrounds achieve health through a lifetime of sports and fitness. Community service is at the core of our origin and at the heart of our mission.

We are dedicated to helping New York City residents of all ages and backgrounds live an active and healthy lifestyle through our high-quality sports, fitness and aquatics programs. Our goal is to inspire a love for sports and fitness while imparting healthy habits that will improve the lives of New Yorkers.

Our fee-based youth sports and aquatics program curriculum is built on three tiers—classes, recreational leagues and competitive teams. Our classes teach fundamental skills and then our recreational leagues give athletes the opportunity to put these newly learned skills into action. Finally, players progress to our competitive teams where they compete against the best.


Astoria Yoga Club


Astoria Yoga Club is a small yoga studio that caters to families and individuals. It has a sizable playroom for pre-school children to enjoy while moms attend a one-hour yoga class—perfect for relaxing and taking some time for themselves. Drop-ins are welcome; no registration is needed.

Also offered are Mommy and Me classes. Moms and toddlers welcome!

BAX | Brooklyn Arts Exchange - Classes


BAX empowers young artists from tots to teens to tell their own stories and develop their skills in dance, theater, and tumbling. At BAX, students develop improvisational, compositional, and performance skills while working both independently and with collaborators.

Experience self-liberation and joy through Movement of the Afro Diaspora. Discuss and dismantle gender archetypes and learn about drag performance’s rich cultural history and roots in queer performance traditions. And for tots, discover the concepts of body, space, shape, and time while cultivating individual expression using imagery, music, stories, and props in Creative Movement classes.

BAX offers school breaks programming for President's week, spring break, and summer in addition to year-round classes.

Bend + Bloom Yoga


Bend + Bloom kids yoga classes enable kids to indulge in yoga fun while parents and caregivers enjoy their own serene practice in the adjacent studio... or parents and children can practice together in an interactive Tots & Family class. Postnatal yoga for parents and babies ages six weeks old to crawlers, is also available.

Breathe and Play Every Day


Breathe and Play Every Day is a new family yoga studio in East Milton Square. Its mission is to provide a sanctuary for children and families to learn and embrace who they are—body, brain, and heart—and to build a community of compassion, encouragement, and support.

Offerings include:

  • Weekly: playgroups; baby/toddler enrichment classes; yoga for kids, tweens, and teens; family yoga; and adult yoga classes where children are welcome to come and play
  • Prenatal yoga sessions
  • Workshops and specialty classes (such as essential oils, meditation, and pediatric nutrition)
  • By appointment: Small-group yoga classes (friends, family, neighbors, etc.); private yoga therapy for students with special needs; on-site classes for school groups, after-school clubs, scouts, etc.

Bright Start Babies


Bright Start Babies provides help and support for parents and babies from the heart. Offerings include:

  • GoGo Babies Tummy Time, Developmental Movement, and Baby Yoga for babies 6 weeks through 18 months
  • Understanding Your Newborn in the 4th Trimester workshops for families in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy and families with babies up to 8 weeks old
  • Baby Massage Workshops
  • Birth Trauma Healing & Bonding Repair.

Bright Start Babies provides educated, sound, well-researched, tried-and-true help for people wanting to conceive, pregnant families, and postpartum families, including assistance in trauma healing from stressful conception, gestation, or birth. The goal is to help create solid foundations for the newborn and its parents in body, mind, and social-emotional growth and development.
