The new community open space, the Tapping Reeve Meadow, features elements of the historic landscape found in Litchfield between the 18th and 20th centuries, and includes a children’s garden, education pavilion, small orchard, a chestnut grove, a wet meadow, stone walls, and traditional fencing. The Tapping Reeve Meadow is designed to provide the community and visitors with opportunities for learning, relaxation, and reflection.
