Young artists travel to the historic Governors Island for free hands-on art making workshops and art-viewing experiences. 

On weekends from 11am-5pm the open outdoor space of Free Arts Island Outpost beckons families to become inspired to explore big projects utilizing found objects and traditional mediums.

This is a space to invent, adapt, and transform relationships to art and the art making process.
