Wonderland: Curious Nature Opening Weekend at the New York Botanical Garden
- see all dates
Head down the rabbit hole as Wonderland: Curious Nature transforms NYBG's 250 acres into the sights, settings, and scents of the classic story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Step into a botanical experience that grows curiouser and curiouser as you set off on your immersive journey.
Follow the White Rabbit and other Wonderland characters through the Garden, where you’ll encounter scenes from the story that give you whimsically wild new perspectives like you’re shrinking and growing along with Alice! You’ll find larger-than-life mushrooms, a chess board spread out across the lawn, a shimmering looking-glass, and more.
Continue to dive into Alice’s world in the library—you’ll learn about the novel’s historical context and modern adaptations, including the stories of mind-altering plants, which were popular in the Victorian Era and continue to be the subjects of cutting-edge scientific research today.
