Weekend Fun for Westchester Kids: Winter Party, American Girl Valentines

Things to Do
Can your family saw a log like a champ? Photo courtesy of the Rye Nature Center.

As mentioned in our hot-off-the-press February GoList, this month is loaded with reasons for festivities for Westchester and Hudson Valley families, and this weekend is no exception.

You might embrace the season at Old-Fashioned Winter’s Afternoon, with pony rides, a log-sawing contest and other sorts of fun, or whoop it up like it’s summertime at the three-day music (and more) festival Winter Hoot. With Valentine’s Day on its way, don’t forget to treat someone you love to something special at American Girl Valentine's Day (while supporting a charitable cause). Even if your kids think they don’t like “old movies,” they’re sure to be amused by even the century-old Harold Lloyd comedy The Freshman. Or if you’re hoping for more interactive entertainment, Danceworks gets kids into the act.
