Ballet des Ameriques is holding auditions for its production of The Nutcracker, an opportunity for tweens and teens to obtain professional dance experience in a holiday production. The company's production is inspired by the work of Marius Petipa and Rudolf Nureyev and will be presented as a one-hour, family-friendly adaptation.

Professional dancers from Ballet des Amériques will perform the featured roles of the ballet. Additional roles will be cast by auditions, allowing boys and girls aged 10-17, who have at least 3 years of ballet training, to audition. Candidates should have intermediate to advanced ballet technique, clean lines, and the ability to take corrections and directions quickly.

The audition schedule is as follows:

• Friday, September 21 - 5:00-8:00 pm
• Saturday, September 22 - 10:00 am - 1:30 pm
