To help educate high-school students about career options in healthcare, NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital will host its 4th annual Careers in Medicine event. Gain hands-on experience and speak directly with more than 60 doctors and health professionals about medical career options.

Meet physicians, physical therapists, pharmacists, dietitians, physician’s assistants, first responders, medical students, and other allied health professionals. Students will learn how to intubate and suture mannequins; examine the chambers of a cow’s heart; scope a knee under the guidance of an orthopedic surgeon; examine microscopic organisms that cause disease; and use laparoscopic instruments as if they were performing an actual surgery.
