Bring your family to an evening nature program at Westmoreland Sanctuary in search of moths in the moonlight. Learn about moth ecology and mix and paint bait for trees.
You'll learn tons of interesting moth facts, like moths are closely related to butterflies, which evolved from them. Most species of moths are active only at night. They can be told apart from butterflies in several ways. Moth antenna look like little feathers, and their wings are held flat on their backs when they are not flying.
Register in advance; space is limited.
What to bring: camera, good shoes, water, and flashlight or headlamp
