Conservation Volunteer Day at Westmoreland Sanctuary
Volunteers will help with essential projects such as trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, and habitat restoration at Westmoreland Sanctuary, all guided by sanctuary staff. No experience is necessary, and all tools will be provided.
What You'll Gain
Beyond the physical work, this is a chance to:
-
Spend time outdoors in a beautiful, peaceful setting.
-
Learn from naturalists about local ecosystems and conservation practices.
-
Connect with like-minded community members.
-
Explore the sanctuary’s trails and discover hidden parts of the preserve.
Whether you're looking to learn something new, give back, or just enjoy a morning in nature, this event has something for everyone.
Why It Matters
Your work will help preserve the health and beauty of Westmoreland’s trails and natural habitats, making a lasting difference for wildlife and future visitors.
What to Bring
We recommend wearing long pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect against brush and insects. Please also bring sturdy shoes and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
