Discover the joy of birding at Westmoreland Sanctuary. Participants will learn how to use binoculars and then head out onto the preserve to practice identifying birds by sight and sound. And if the weather cooperates, Steve Ricker, leader of the Westmoreland Bird Banding Program, will give an up-close look at wild birds during a live banding demonstration!

Feel free to bring your own binoculars, but if you don’t have any, there are extras available for the program.
