As most the nation gets ready to leap ahead an hour this weekend, DC families will want to make the most of the slightly shortened weekend, and area events do not disappoint. 

For families wanting to spend some time outside, there are nature hikes and events to spot animals from reptiles to mammals. For indoor fun, there are crafts, interactive music shows, theater shows, and a pancake breakfast with superheros. 

It's hard to imagine ice skating when we're so close to spring, but don't forget to take advantage of one last weekend of outdoor ice skating before the season is over.
