The annual festival goes virtual for 2021, still bringing people together through music, dance, food, and other traditions from around the world.

Bring the experience of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival into your home, through a weekend series of craft workshops, kitchen demonstrations, and Story Circles, celebrating seasoned master artisans and the everyday makers who find solace and connection in creativity. For the first time, Festival visitors can participate in hands-on workshops from home, with supplies sent out in advance. Spots are limited, so register early to receive your materials kits in the mail!
