Kids at Katzen: Philippine Textiles at American University

American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center
Kids and adults can make art based on the work of Filipina textile artists featured in AU Museum's exhibition, Fabricated Boundaries. Each artist from the exhibition will have a dedicated project that illustrates their unique techniques and incorporation of Philippine textiles and fibers. Learn Habi and the art of simple weaving using yarn and tie-dyed cloth (Pacita Abad and Jeanne Jalandoni), simulate the printing process of painted yarn and ribbon (Patricia Orpilla), and construct paper cutouts and collage (Mic Diño Boekelmann).
