Celebrate amazing women in history and in everyday life by creating with the Library’s collections. This event for kids and their families features creative, engaging activities such as contributing to a communal mural of female trailblazers, transcribing Clara Barton’s personal papers and correspondence, and reimagining the Jefferson Building to showcase the diversity of women’s achievements.

A 2pm, enjoy a conversation with Chelsea Clinton, author of the picture book “She Persisted” and related "She Persisted" chapter book series; Rita Williams-Garcia, a celebrated author of novels for young adults and middle-grade readers; and Meg Medina, current National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. A book signing follows.
