BCC Rescue Squad's Rescue Day 2022 has been canceled due to Hurricane Ian.

Members of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad are excited to welcome families back to Rescue Day, an annual open house featuring live demonstrations, state-of-the-art vehicles and equipment on display, free fire hats, and even a helicopter landing in the parking lot.

Rescue Day 2022 will be held in the parking lot and engine bay of the station at the corner of Battery Lane and Old Georgetown Road just a few blocks from the Taste of Bethesda festival.

Rescue Day 2022 is also scheduled to include:

- Rescue 15, the classic 1972 Cadillac ambulance that once served the residents and visitors of the community, the last of its kind at BCCRS. Get a glimpse of EMS and local history.

- US Park Police Eagle One, a law enforcement and medical rescue helicopter

- Montgomery County Police

- National Institutes of Health Fire Department Tower 751 and HazMat Unit

- Child safety-seat demonstrations

- State Fire Marshal explosive technicians and their K9 partner, Sandy

Because the parking lot will be filled with ambulances and fire trucks—and will be used as a temporary helipad—parking for Rescue Day is not available on site. Please use street parking or one of the many nearby garages or consider public transportation.
