Weekend Fun for Philly Kids: Nature, Outer Space, Ice Cream August 24-25

Philly kids are in for a treat this August weekend. Our events calendar is overflowing with fun for everyone in the family. From outdoor opportunities to indoor exploration, families must make time for it all.

Nature lovers can take a boat ride on the Schuylkill River or canoe along the Perkiomen Creek. Admire the beautiful butterflies at Upper Schuylkill Valley Park or snap photos of bugs and blooms at Green Lane Park. After embracing the outdoors, head inside to learn about outer space the Please Touch Museum's Space Odyssey Saturday event, see robotics and STEM demos at Robotstock at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, or experience the world of comics at Keystone Comic Con at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Finish off the weekend with some ice cream fun at the Chocolate and Vanilla Festival held at Camden Children's Garden.
