Weekday Picks for Philly Kids: S'mores, Skies, Kidchella July 17-21

Things to do with kids in the Philly area on weekdays

By now, Philly families may be starting to hear the most dreaded phrase of the summer... I'm bored. Combat a mid-summer slump by exploring our jam-packed event calendar.

This week provides so many exciting, educational, and engaging options for little ones, school aged kids, tweens, and teens. Younger children can make crafts at Monkey Fish Toys or Lume Creative Learning Studio, explore American Swedish Historical Museum during Toddler Time, listen to stories among the animals or in an enchanted woods, or dance the day away at Kidchella. Older children can volunteer at Riverbend, participate in a social justice book discussion, rock out at an outdoor concert, or stay up late to watch the night sky. For some family fun, take a spin on a carnival ride or watch an outdoor movie.

Avoid boredom by browsing our list of 100 free things to do this summer. Make it a great week!
