Parades, parties, and fireworks, of course! These celebrate the birth of our nation, America - the land of the free and the home of the brave. So, isn't it our obligation as citizens of this great country to enjoy all the fun the first weekend in July has to offer? As the place where it all began, Philadelphia is home to some of the best Independence Day celebrations to be found.
See an encampment at Washington Crossing Historic Park, enjoy a picnic and 4th of July celebration at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation, or listen to live music and view fireworks at Upper Darby High School. Consider visiting the National Museum of American Jewish History or The Barnes which both offer free family programming.
