Friends’ Central School is a coeducational, college-preparatory, Quaker school offering an outstanding independent school education to students in nursery through grade 12. Friends' Central offers an exceptional Early Childhood program, including a Nature Nursery, where the youngest students, beginning at age 2 years and 7 months, learn important lessons about sharing, friendship, math, art, science, and reading in the context of the woods, gardens, stream, and fields of the beautiful campus in Wynnewood. PA. Nature Nursery offers an innovative, outdoor program full of organic opportunities for learning, child-led exploration, and unstructured play, as well as lessons in friendship, sharing, and community. It also provides a nurturing environment where children learn to be students and build a strong social and academic foundation for Pre-K and Kindergarten.
