Whether you have a baby, toddler or preschooler, or are still experiencing that pregnancy glow, you won't want to miss A Child Grows in Brooklyn's Baby & Family Expo, coming up on Sunday, April 6 in Brooklyn Heights. This popular annual event is a great place to learn everything you need to know about raising kids in this crazy city, in Brooklyn and beyond. Informative workshops, previews of the hottest new baby gear, raffles with awesome prizes (from brands such as Orbit Baby, Stokke, Britax and Joovy) and great parenting seminars are all on tap. There will also be lots of fun for little ones like FREE performances by Vered Music and Little Rock-its by Frolic!, plus complimentary childcare if you want to explore on your own.

Mommy Poppins is proud to be a sponsor of the Brooklyn Baby & Family Expo. We'll also have a booth on-site where kids can make these adorable clothespin creatures featured in our WeeWork series, and parents can enter to win awesome giveaways. Play Time for Long Island Children with Special Needs

Play time is crucial to childhood development—it teaches children basic sensory functions, as well as how to interact and get along with the people around them. Playtime with a child with special needs can be tricky because most organized play spaces aren’t adaptive to the needs of some children. Luckily, Long Island has all kinds of play areas geared toward all children.
