A high-energy, hands-on family workshop invites families to step into the joyful and energetic world of Cumbia — no experience needed.  

Start your journey with a Museum Educator as you explore Urban Stomp: Dreams & Defiance on the Dance Floor, a powerful exhibition that brings together 200 years of dance, fashion, and culture. Through a hands-on activity, explore the history, culture, and communities, where Cumbia sets the tempo.

Then Learn the basics of Cumbia in a fun and family-friendly tutorial led by the amazing Karla Florez, founder of the Karla Flórez School of Dance.  

Snacks and Water are provided at the end of the workshop.
