Shira Erlichman presents Be/Hold: A Friendship Book at Greenlight Bookstores
Greenlight Bookstore's Lefferts Garden location and its original Fort Greene location both hold regular and very special Satuday storytimes for kids, with books read by their authors. Sometimes there's music, too!
11:30 AM Fort Greene
1:30 PM at the Prospect Lefferts Gardens location at 632 Flatbush Avenue.
In her debut picture book, visual artist, poet, musician, and friend of Greenlight Shira Erlichman opens with the line, “Sweetheart, sometimes when I’m feeling blue I put my ear to the wind & listen for you.” Shira builds a one-of-a-kind story of friendship from her love of compound words (i.e. toothbrush, windbreaker, behold) in a book that uplifts, encourages, and honors the people we care about most. Greenlight is thrilled to host Shira, a longtime friend of the bookstore, for a story time event featuring a reading, singalong and some compound word snacks.
