Things to Do With Kids in NYC March 16-17: St. Patrick's Day Parades and Parties, Purim Celebrations, T. Rex at AMNH, Kid-Friendly Show

St. Patrick's Day troops into NYC this weekend, marching up Fifth Avenue on Saturday and through Park Slope on Sunday. Our family-friendly guide to St. Patrick's Day events in NYC is a pot of gold with details on everything shamrocky—and don't miss the weekend-long Irish fun at the Children's Museum of Manhattan.

Naturally, green isn't the only game in town. The International Children's Film Festival comes to a rollicking conclusion Saturday evening with its Best of the Fest Screening and Awards party, and you'll find plenty of screenings on Saturday and Sunday for all ages and interests. Lightwire Theater recreates the tale of The Ugly Duckling with a cutting-edge blend of puppetry, technology and dance, and The Jedi Academy instructs young Skywalkers at Symphony Space. Olive and Pearl inspires little imaginations all weekend long at BAM.

Meanwhile, at the American Museum of Natural History, T.rex: The Ultimate Predator has officially opened, and Snark Park has opened its interactive design environment, Lost and Found, in Hudson Yards. Plus, it's Purim! Head over to the Park Street East School for a full-on festival, or hit the costume party, games and face painting fun at Hannah Senesh in Brooklyn.

And there's more. (Because of course, there's always more!) Take a peek at our March GoList or our ever-expanding daily NYC Event Calendar.
