Unlike domesticated creatures, wild animals do NOT make good pets, their instinctive behavior making them dangerous and unpredictable to untrained caretakers. And captive animals released back into the wild by well-meaning animal-lovers may inadvertently harm local wildlife and ecosystems.

At this nature presentation by wild-animal experts from the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, find out why following the rule “If you care…leave them there” is the right way to enjoy wildlife. Museum educators share live animals from their collection to educate all at this fun and informative nature program.

Children over 8 are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
