The feature documentary Parkland Rising streams on Facebook. Parkland Rising looks at the students of Parkland who have started an international movement to call attention to the need for better gun safety laws.
The June 2 screening coincides with National Gun Violence Awareness Day. The evening features a live screening of the film introduced by Executive Producer Katie Couric with a conversation to follow with will.i.am, Manuel Oliver, Greg Kahn (Gun Safety Alliance Co-Lead), Cheryl Horner McDonough, and Manju Bangalore (March For Our Lives LA Chapter Co-Lead), moderated by Katie Couric.
In addition, an encore live screening is set for June 5 to coincide with Wear Orange Weekend. The second screening is followed by a conversation with Jaclyn Corin, Rebecca Boldrick Hogg, Kevin Hogg, Jammal Lemy, Manuel Oliver, Patricia Padauy-Oliver, and John E. Rosenthal (Stop Handgun Violence Co-Founder), moderated by Meghna Chakrabarti.
